I am far from a teen but it does not mean I don’t get what is going on in today’s scene. Okay, so I depend on a few teenagers to keep me with it but at least I am interested. Why? Because teens dictate the runway. Yup, you heard me right. In fact, by the time it gets on a runway, teens in the street scene are over it. Oscar de la Renta told me he often looks to the teens to get inspiration for his collections. He is one master who is not afraid to admit that sometimes, his students are the best inspiration! So it’s no wonder celebs take the teen awards seriously. I mean if you get voted queen of the Teen choice awards, it’s almost as good as an Oscar (I said almost) not to mention it usually means box office glory when the teens love you! So here are a few teen queens I like– Scarlett Johansson, Lauren Conrad, Blake Lively and Rachel Bilson– all are adorable young ladies who not only dress their age, they do it so well! Oh, and I love the asymmetrical shoulder thing, so subtle and sexy to show one shoulder. Leave something to the imagination ladies!

Doesn’t this look come from designer Halston from the Studio 54 era?! Is it right that the new Halston designer has left already after only creating maybe 2 seasons worth of looks?! (or am I wrong?)
