I have no will power when it comes to the two H's. Hermes and Herve. Seriously, if the fashion gods told me I could only wear Hermes and Herve for the rest of my life I wouldn't have a problem with that! Yes, I know Max Azria now designs the collection but who cares, it's still as fabulous as it was in the height of its glory days in the late 80's (when I was in high school and dreamed of growing up and owning a closet full of Herve Leger dresses). Now that I am grown up, I no longer have to dream, I just have to click and buy :)
I am also obsessed with everything metallic-- to shimmer is to glamour! This gold Alix dress screams disco glam-- made of nude panels extravagantly covered in gold foil-- it reportedly weighs a ton which is actually a bonus, it will be like a work out when I wear it. I can get in my weight training and look fabulous doing it. What could be better? $1,450 at Intermix Online.

This dress is hot! Especially for the holiday parties coming up (the less stuffy ones, that is).
I have never tried on one of herve leger dresses. Do they suck you in at all the right places, so to speak? They look structured, but I'm wondering how much shaping they actually do.

They suck you in all the right places, I put one on shortly after giving birth and it was like a girdle! You will love it. Go try it on first if you can to find your size. The sizes vary with each style....
