We couldn't help but noticing fringe was swaying all over the spring runways, from Julien MacDonald and Vivienne Westwood to Emanuel Ungaro and Elie Saab. We witnessed the use of fringe ranging from trim, aptly used at Hermes to complete all-over fringe delicately made into dresses, best exemplified at Jil Sander and Alexander McQueen. Most of the fringe we spotted were more spaghetti-like strands, very fine, thin, and layered, although some designers opted for heavier versions of the stripped fabric. From clothes to shoes to bags, what's not to love about it? How could you not adore a fringed shoulder Kelly bag?  (Jump for cheap and chic fringe options!)

So if that Kelly bag might, just might be slightly out of your price range, we still found some great items that will help you be on-trend, or rather, on the fringe this spring. For starters, get a great fringe-accented shoe. We love both the Fringe Stilettos ($24.99, Charlotte Russe), and the Sam Edelman 'Ursula' Fringed Suede Ankle Boots ($159, Bloomingdale's).

Next up is the bag; we love the pint size and color of this Dakota Fringe Top Zip ($49, Nine West), and are digging the '60s vibe of this brown Baustin Hobo ($78, Steve Madden). Don't worry, we haven't forgot about the clothing! We can't wait to be decked out in the flapper-inspired LaRok Harmony Black Sueded Fringe Vest ($319, Singer22.com) or this Flapper Fringe Tunic ($22.80, Forever 21), which will keep a little extra money in our pockets for other fringe items!

This Tracy Reese Oasis Dress ($149, eLUXURY.com) is very very Hermes with its fringe trim, or go for fine, angled fringe all over ala Jil Sander with this Velvet 'Emella' Top ($174, Shopbop.com). Last, we thought this
Noise Flapper Skirt ($58, Urban Outfitters) was just plain fun, and would look great paired with a neon ribbed tank or sexy lace camisole.
So just remember, come spring 2009 to get all tangled up in one of the hottest trends of the season - fringe!
