I love Herve Leger and I actually have this dress in simple gray cotton-- the style is quite risque which is why I chose the subtle color. In ombre sequins, however, it turns into something you'd wear to audition for a spot on the strip in Vegas. My problem with this dress is actually not the sequins, but rather the multiple shades of sequins and the contrasting strip up the backside. Had they kept the sequins in one color, it'd be flashy but palatable. What do you guys think?

I totally agree its just too much....I am still looking for the perfect Herve to get....so many great colours its hard to choose! If it was just one colour it would be great for the holiday season!!

i don't mind this at all....perfect for a new year's eve party.
I think someone in their early twenties could pull this off for the right occassion. The design is nice and I'm sure your grey dress is beautiful. The sequins change the dress completely.
Tina, this dress looks like a bite of delightful couture candy!
I think the colors would look cute on you. Take a risk!
Hahahaa
I think if it were to be worn peeping from underneath a white cashmere coat, or a short, cropped white jacket, then it could work. Good luck with the shoes. EEEK! Purple shoes!
Ugh this dress is horrible!
I would love it in the dark navy sequins, but I can't get over that band up the backside...... it's almost pornographic. Or is my mind in the gutter? Yuck!
I'd rather spend the $2800 on Roland Mouret or Balenciaga.......
This dress is a bit much, the front doesnt look to bad, (if it were a diff color) but that band going down the back is BAD!!! your gray number is prob very lovely!!!
i Love this dress....! too bad it is completely out of my price range, and at 2800.... you need to wear a dress more than once! and you couldn't wear this more than once... maybe twice. but that's it!!
i think the stripe is fine... it breaks up the dress and makes you not look fat in glittering horizontal stripes from behind
