Although I wouldn't quite call myself a huge fan of Jessica or Ashlee Simpson's music or general fashion choices, I do have to remark that when they are dressed casually, in a simple, paired-down, yet stylish way, I think they look at their best. Case in point is this image of the two sisters; I wouldn't be surprised if they had purposely coordinate their outfits to match, but either way the looks come across as laid-back, put-together chic. Who can really go wrong with a lot of black mixed with some black and white pieces?
To get the "Simpson sisters black & white look," start off with a great black handbag. Either choose from the framed, reptilian sort, or a slouchy hobo will do the trick. Next on the list would be a black cardigan or shrunken blazer to wear over your high contrast top. And now, for the most integral part of the look: the black and white shirt! This look is also attainable by simply wearing a white long sleeve crewneck or v-neck tee paired with a black and white scarf. Although the picture doesn't quite show what pants the ladies are sporting, we would recommend some black leggings if the tops are a moderate, tunic length, or skinny black jeans, like the J Brand Stockholm Jean in Noir ($196, Singer22.com). So as you can see, you can totally hit the mark with "Simpson sisters black & white look" and still have some money to shop those post-holiday sales!
