I am in awe of these super fly platform shoes from Gucci in black suede and metallic python. I mean they make such a strong statement you can pretty much wear whatever you want because trust me, barring from being naked– no one is going to notice anything but these shoes. I stumble in my Marni’s and Loubies quite often, in these I’ll probably take a real tumble and break my ankle or something. So, I will just keep gawking at them and wait for Posh to wear them with one of her skin tight dresses.
Speaking of Posh, I almost stumbled upon her presentation over Fashion Week at the Waldorf Suites. I had a hair appointment and got stuck in the elevator without a key card only to run into a PR guy who was like “are you here for the appointment? are you late? here, I’ll take you up”. I thought he was taking me up to the beauty suite and should have kept my big mouth shut because he was about to take me to Posh’s suite where she was showing her line of dresses! These are gorgeous but complete neck brakers unless your VB with a driver waiting outside for you!! Tina I am glad you mentioned that you often stumble in your shoes too….how do you cope with your YSL tributes…I always admire them from afar but just not sure I would get my wear out of them ‘cos i would just have to wear them as bar to car hoping shoes!!! LOL =)no walking involved!
Also I wonder if I can bother you for your expertise…me my mum and sister are coming over to LA to get my sisters final fittings done at Monique Lhuiller on March 23…I wanted to treat them both to a few beauty treatments and nice girly lunches do you have any tips on where to eat and what spas or salons are great….would you recommend Kate Sommerville facials…have you tried and tested any!
