I love the drama of this beautiful Dior haute couture dress but it is more wedding cake top appropriate than red carpet appropriate, in a color Parker describes as “barely mint”. And, uh, Haute Couture is custom made to fit, which the top part obviously doesn’t. I am thinking it was one of Carrie’s wedding dress rejects. What about you? Snob or Slob?

Yes, it’s a beautiful dress but I don’t like how it looks on her– I know the tight bodice is intentional but hello, it’s spilling out!
I don’t know about this one. Her breasts are pushed up in a vulgar display and it didn’t help that they looked soft and mushy in other pics I came across.
I didn’t like her make-up either. Up close, it was too shiny. That picture of her with her husband though was the worst; they looked positively scary.
I think the word is ghoulish… so sad since I love SJP, and the dress is amazing, just doesn’t fit properly. Or perhaps she’s trying to prove she’s sexy since she was voted least sexy woman of America?
I love the dress (couture!) but agree with other comments about her breasts – couldn’t the bodice be a little higher or better fitting? It is couture, after all.

Absolutely! I was thinking that this morning when I woke up, that the dress had the exact same feel as the Nina Ricci that she got screwed on. She was all bitter over that, so maybe that’s why she went with Haute Couture– so that they can’t pull another one on her.
Ya that was awful! I still can’t believe they did that to her..so unethical lying to her. Though I’m surprised no one in SJP’s fashion entourage knew that the dress had been worn before…maybe it’s only in NYC but Lauren Santo Domingo is pretty well known plus it was at the Met gala!!
Possibly, but that would be just too sad for words. Anyway, I looked at that picture and thought … “side-parting, Stepford, ohmigod what happened to Ferris Bueller? Please stop grinning at me”.

the dress is stunning, I just don’t like the belt. But oh, I am still so excited about the SATC sequel! No idea what else they can add to the plot, but can’t wait!
