Louboutin makes good (expensive) use of Barneys’ Trash

louboutinbarneystrash.jpgIn anticipation of Earth Day, Christian Louboutin makes good use of recycled trash from Barneys New York and laminates them on his iconic platform slingbacks. I love this idea, it’s a great way to wear, uh, trash. But hello? A thousand bucks for trash? And come to think of it, how eco-friendly is PVC?

The shoes are exclusive to Barneys (what, Neimans didn’t want Barneys’ trash?) and are available now for $995.

What say you my snobs? Snob or Slob?

SNOB!!! haha, I just absolutely love high platform Louboutins!

  2. Reuse, recycle, but spend your thousand dollars on something more endurable, please! This looks like a fun DIY project to do with a pair of sandals from a high street fashion shop.
