The girls behind mega brand Juicy Couture will be launching an edgy new line this summer. "Bird" will debut in August at Bergdorf Goodman with a set of casually chic separates-- beaded tank tops ($398), ombre shaded cardigans ($298), all to wear over its distressed jeans ($248). I don't know, their previous effort at luxury (the defunct Couture Couture line) was not so well received. I just don't think the juicy sweat wearing fan will venture into a higher price point with the same designers. Why wouldn't they go to McQ by McQueen of Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania for some affordable edgy chic?
