Badgley Mischkajust announced the launch of Mark & James, the designer house’s first contemporary line. Set to launch for holiday 2009, the line will offer 30 styles ranging from $300-$550. While offering a new take on the Badgley Mischka look, the Mark & James collection will continue to incorporate old Hollywood glamour which is signature to the Badgley Mischka brand. I am personally excited because I’ve long been a fan of Badgley Mischka gowns! The collection is anchored by beaded and embellished dresses that have an ease in their fit and attitude. In addition, “flapper” inspired dresses have an edgier approach with chain and beading details. Rounding out the line are various takes on the little black dress, all of which are perfect for any holiday or New Year’s Eve party.
Mark & James will be distributed on the contemporary floor of major department stores as well as fine specialty boutiques nationwide.
