If you thought Ferragamo was fuddy duddy, look again. Yes, they definitely got mileage out of their grosgrain bow flats but this shoe is eons from that. And I mean eons, as in, this shoe is from the future. Ankle cuffs are on every shoe, you can't get away from it but no one is doing Star Trek mega hot intergalactic ones like these. With Sci-fi being all the rage now (but seriously, when was it ever out of style?) you have to keep up! There is a lot going on here but I tried these on and I cannot stress to you hot freaking HOT they are. They are over 6" high with the platform (I was 6' 1" with them on!!) so there is a lot of shoe to work with to fit all the details in proportionally. The strap over the foot does not require buckling and unbuckling so you just deal with the ankle straps. There is a spine behind the heel (you can't really see it in this picture) that is braided leather - cool effect, although I worry about destroying it when walking and driving. If these weren't $1200 over my price range, I would be wearing them right now! At Ferragamo boutiques for $2200. Comes in this pewter, gold, white and nude but consider only the pewter.
