I know I sound like a self absorbed narcissistic blogger (hey, it's my blog and I can think what I want right?) but Derek Lam's resort collection feels like it was entirely custom made for me! Each piece has a place in my world; a crisp white trench with preppy chic shorts is perfect for my daily life as a busy mom shuttling a 4 year old around town and a fashion blogger with trunk shows and events to attend but come night time I'll be slipping on the hot pink dress with gathered plunging neckline for dinner with the hubby! The black halter neck with bow detail and skinny black pants will be fun to go shopping in or grabbing cocktails with the girls and I'll be wearing the blue jersey studded top and skirt or fuchsia dress with black jacket for luncheons. As for that fabulous peplum bustier with skinny pants and chunky jewels-- now I can just about wear that anywhere!

All those outfits are beautiful and perfect for just about anybody. However, I don't like the shoes. I can't see grocery shopping and running around with the kids in those shoes. Better to wear flats with the shorts, etc. But I do love Derek Lam. He's so wearable.
