Leave it to Dita Von Teese to grocery shop in style. I love that she looks like a proper 1950's housewife but we all know underneath the prim and proper suit she's probably wearing yards of lacy racy lingerie! It's such a nice change from photos of the likes of Nicole and Mischa stepping out of Ralphs market barefoot. I wish we could all go back to dressing up daily, for no reason other than the self respect and dignity. It's not like I don't have flip flops, but I wear them to the pool or beach. I do wear skinny jeans and pants often but usually with heels (with Alaia or Tod's flats on a rare occasion). However, if I had it my way I'd wear cocktail dresses with high heels all day long, even to the grocery store (which I've done by the way!).
What about you, how do you grocery?

HEELS HEELS HEELS! I always feel better stepping out when i know im looking my best, weather its a grocery store or cocktail party. You won't find me in sweats and sneakers unless im coming from the gym!
cute dresses and sandals, who knows who or what you'll run into!
I have a weird thing about grocery stores, I like to dress up because I have actually met cute guys at the markets where I live in NYC!
i wear whatever i'm wearing and do not dress up purposely
I wear capris or jeans or sundresses with flat sandals or ballet flats. I'm not trying to walk those aisles in heels, not as slippery as they are!! You can end up on your ass!! And I have no desire to dress like Ms. Dita, not whilst grocery shopping or at any other time. She is definitely NOT my idol when it comes to how to dress. She looks too contrived for my taste.
Whatever, I try to avoid those stores.
Tina, I agree it's fun to dress and wear heels.Unless its a party, I sometimes feel overdressed. Honestly, people look like they just rolled out of bed. It's depressing.
