I gotta hand it to Lady Gaga she is a true visionary! After Gaga appeared in music videos, showed-up to performances and other public appearances in one-piece suits without pants, stars from Sienne Miller to Beyonce began imitating her style. Pant-less on the beach — yes. Even pant-less during performances I understand when it’s part of an elaborate costume (Gaga has some amazing Hussein Chalayan-inspired pant-less ensembles), but when you’re just getting groceries or shopping a la Vanessa Hudgens– put some clothes on I say! I also think it’s kind of lame that a star like Beyonce who fancies herself a “fashion designer” is more or less copying Lady Gaga’s look. That said I always thought Beyonce’s House of Dereon line was full of poorly made Carmen Marc Valvo imitations so perhaps it’s fitting that she’s knocking someone else’s style. On another note I do think that — love it or hate it — it’s great that women who aren’t stick figures are embracing their bodies and are confident enough to wear these looks. What do you think of the pant-less trend? Can anyone besides Lady Gaga pull it off?
I read that Beyonce’s costumes were designed by Thierry Mugler. Vanessa needs to get dressed. Lady Gaga can ‘pull it off’ but at this point she would be a little more interesting if she decided to ‘put something on’ at this point, her bum has become her uniform.
Did anyone see the Dior HC show?? Almost all the looks featured were worn pant-less…!!
Who said gaga can pull it off to begin with tacky and slutty just as the pasties (unless you are a porn star of course)
