I had a moment of insanity and purchased these online. No idea what got into me except this appealed to my naughty side. 6 inches high with 4 inch platform!?!? Bring it on! I thought they’d be perfect with my pale lavender Alaia dress for the Style Network Give and Get Fete next week (get your tickets now if you have not done so already!). When they arrived I was shocked at how high 6 inches look in real life. And they were really small, I could barely squeeze them on and felt like Cinderella’s stepsister (go half a size up if you get the itch for them). When they were finally on, I felt like a giant– so that’s what the air feels like up here! But when I tried to walk, I toppled over and had to grab my toddler to prevent myself from taking a Naomi Campbell-esque dive. He said, “be careful mama, walking is dangerous”. He has no idea how right he was. I took them back to Neiman Marcus immediately. Such a shame as I really liked them, if they took 2-3 inches off the heel they’d be perfect. Or maybe I should just stop shopping at midnight when my judgment is impaired by the glass of wine I had with dinner. $675 at Neiman Marcus. What do you think of the Fendi Fetish shoes? Should I have sucked it up and kept them?
These shoes look like YSL shoes. I have noticed all the heels are now six inches high. I had a hard time with 5 inches and they just keep getting higher.

Nothing is more ridiculous than seeing a woman hobbling about. They should empower you – not make you feel self conscious. You made the right decision.

I saw these at Intermix in Southampton and had to try them on because the heel is SO ridiculous! Seriously this photo does not even begin to show how high the heel really is..looks more like 10 inches and it’s a pity too because the shoe could be fab were it a normal heel!
nothing worse than all dressed up, getting out of a car to walk into a restaurant, the right outfit, bag, and shoes and then you trip and fall. Spoils the whole look… 6inch heels are too high…I bought YSL last year, and every step I take is like I am walking on ice. Who needs it. We need to boycott these monsters….
