Jess Cartner-Morley has just written a piece on it (link below) where she discusses the pursuit of perfection in couture and how and why a couture garment is perfected so that it is beautiful from every angle. And then in this film you see how the seamstress making the toile moves her mannequin around so that she can check it from every angle. Absolutely glorious; this has made my day, thank you.
