Now that I’m done with sale scavenging, I’m all about my putting my Fall wardrobe together. I decided I must wear Derek Lam for my birthday this month, it’s a big one and only the sexiest and chicest of dresses will do. I love the gray matte jersey dress ($1,390) with the taupe matte calfskin rock star belt ($590) but when I discussed it with Derek, he said I should wear the matte white jersey dress ($1,790)
. I totally can not make up my mind! So I’m turning to you once again to help me out here. The two dress choices are above, keeping in mind I look really good in gray
So tell me, what should I do? Wear the gray chic jersey dress or the white hot draped goddess dress?

both such beautiful dresses…but i vote for the white. The gray is so pretty, but since this is YOUR big birthday, you have to stand out! I bet no one else will show up to your party wearing a white dress…and think how hot will it look with chunky gold jewelry!!let us know what you decide and post pics!

grey all the way! i dont think the white will make your porcelain skin pop as much..unless you tanned in cali..plus..birthday must equal bubbly, and the white seems more prone to wardrobe malfunctions =)..although you really cant go wrong with either..

I think gray is the better option for you. The white is stunning but there is so much fabric, I don’t know how that will drape. The gray is hot and the belt is fierce.

I am keeping both and wearing the gray to my birthday lunch with girlfriends and the white that night to Air Supply at the Symphony with my hubby! So problem solved
the white is amazing and looks much better on me than the model. Seriously, you need curves to fill this dress out!!!
