A few weeks ago I got an advanced copy of "The Day Before Proenza Schouler" which is part of a four part original fashion series on the Sundance Channel that gives viewers a rare inside look at the creative process, drama, complications, and problems leading up to a large scale runway show. It airs September 9th through the 11th at 10pm e/p each night. "The Day Before Sonia Rykiel" kicks off the series followed by "The Day Before Proenza Schouler," "The Day Before Karl Lagerfeld," and lastly "The Day Before Jean Paul Gaultier." Needless to say I'm suggesting tuning in! The documentary gave me a new-found appreciation for all that goes into staging a large-scale fashion show and for the Proenza Schouler boys in particular I was awed by their passion and devotion to their craft. So much so in fact that I vow to never complain about how uncomfortable the Proenza Schouler shoes I splurged on last season are!
