John Lennon has always been an icon of mine. I had a huge poster of that famous photograph where Lennon is leaning cross-armed with a New York City shirt hanging in my bedroom for all four years I was at Cornell (couldn’t forget my NYC roots while I was in Ithaca!). While he was obviously a musical genius, I’ve never found myself inspired by Lennon and Yoko Ono’s (who incidentally teamed-up with Threeasfour for an S/S 2010 collection) style. Young Hollywood however seems to be all about the round sunglasses which I automatically associate with Lennon and Ono. I’m not a fan and I think Nicole Richie, MK Olsen, and all the other stars — including Becks and Lady Gaga — who have worn them end-up looking like bugs with round sunglasses on!

They’re not very flattering. I associate them with Ozzy Osbourne.
