Derek Lam pays homage to Summer Lovin’ days in his most colorful collection in a long time. We went nuts for the waist cinching corset pants with wheat/grey/white crepe shooting star print blouse (now I can have my pre-baby 19″ waist back!). Shooting stars were the recurring theme of the day, as seen on everything from flirty short corset halter minis to blouses and dresses. Derek tells us the crepe hooded halter deck one pieces are for lounging (preferably on your boyfriend’s yacht in Ibiza), not for swimming (how fab, I hate getting wet myself!) But the stand out piece for me was a glittering gold hologram sequined blouse with matching skirt- insanely fabulous! The bags were also lust worthy (white ostrich anyone?)– stay tuned on Bag Snob for the bag collection review! Once again, expect to see me in all things Derek Lam come Spring 2010.
