From WWD: A collection of Audrey Hepburn’s dresses were auctioned off in London this week. No surprise that the Givenchy black lace suit (above), worn by Hepburn in “How to Steal a Million” in 1966 was purchased for 60,000 pounds, or $97,542 by The house of Givenchy (the iconic LBD worn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” was also purchased by Givenchy back in 2006). Considering the cost of Haute Couture gowns are now upwards of $100,000– I’d say Givenchy got a fair deal.
