Diane Kruger in Donna Karan

Note to Diane, this is what you shoulda worn to the Globes! I'm a huge fan of Diane Kruger and it kills me that she listened to a misguided stylist on one of the biggest nights in Hollywood! Look at her in this draped Donna Karan gown from the night before the Globes-- it's so much more tasteful and elegant than the Charo inspired Lacroix gown in my opinion. I am no expert but looking like a Grecian Goddess is preferred over a Mariachi dancer, is it not? I am so bummed this was not on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, it would have landed Diane on the best dressed list of every publication and blog instead of here.

What do you think, should she have saved this for the Globes instead of the Lacroix?

Diane Kruger attends the 15th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards in Los Angeles

Fine, she could have combed her hair but look at the dress people!

No matter which way you look at it, this dress is a winner. See how it molds to the body without being too tight? Sexy, subtle, just superb!

The only people I can imagine in this dress is Ivana Trump or Joan Collins. And I am a HUGE fan of Lacroix! Just not this dress.

  • i actually liked the dress she wore to the golden globes...maybe more for the color and detail...but i like that she took a risk...and wore something a little "different"

  • Night and day! the Donna dress is amazing on her...the purple pooffy, no so great! I vote for Donna

  • I read somewhere else that she actually saw that dress in a window, loved it and that's how she came to be wearing it at the GG's. In that case it seems she could use a stylist's opinion now and then.

  • I think she was lovely at the Golden Globe!! The dress looked stunning on her. And the colour,-vavoom!
The Donna Karan thing does not look as half as good as the Lacroix..

  • I thought she looked great at both events. BTW, she doesn't have a stylist.

  • She saw the LaCroix while shopping and fell in love with it. No stylist in sight. She usually doesn't use one.

  • I have to agree with the other readers. The Donna Karan dress is so wan and kinda boring. The Lacroix was different, but in a good way. The color and texture were both interesting.

  • I actually like the Lacroix dress, too. Detailing is awesome.
