I am speechless over this crocodile tail leather jacket from Balmain. My heart loves it and wishes I can own it in all its ratty tatty glory but my head is saying "with children starving and people dying do you really need a jacket that cost more than most cars?" Obviously I will not be getting this, even at 80% off it'd be $13,000! But I can still admire the insane genius of Christophe Decarnin-- piecing together crocodile skin in so many layers to achieve the texture and structure of one of the most complicated coats I've ever seen. Sigh... maybe he will do a leather version for, like, $10,000.

The person that could afford this would not wear something so, umm, obvious. Strange indulgence when it's time to rebuild a good house and stand for a fashion mood. Also this retailed for more than my car, not a good thing.
I want this so bad!
What on Earth is this. Apart from the insane price, in which the argument is quite self explanatory, this jacket is ugly! The shoulders and the front of the jacket are acceptable but the wrists and the tail are completely disgusting! And it's SHREDDED? Are you serious?
Btw,Tina could you afford this if you really wanted it? Just asking if you were actually serious about wanting to buy it
I would buy this under $2,000 and donate it to a fashion museum. it's interesting and collectible.
Ugly is a bit harsh but it's definitely not meant to be pretty ;)
That is just ridiculous. Design-wise, it's okay. But the price is just plain idiocy.
I like the front, but CANNOT stand the back tail. Yuck. Well that and the price - no.
He obviously made this with Lady Gaga in mind! She could pull it off, and then donate it. Other than that, way too much cash in these hard times. It just smacks of Wall St greed.
