Yes I’m a shoe snob but that doesn’t mean I don’t love a great shoe at a bargain price!
Lucy Liu is one of my absolute favorite actresses (who doesn’t miss Ling & Ally McBeal!?) and she’s known to mix up high designer goods with bargain finds (love that!). She showed up for an appearance on Good Day NY yesterday in a Max Azria dress and killer “Kerbow” pumps from ALDO– $100 never looked so good! My friend Wendy at Nitrolicious.com loves Aldo and though I have never bought shoes there, I’m thinking this might be my first pair. The “Kerbow” has the season’s must have basket weave in black or nude suede and sexy fierce heels with a one inch platform. Have to admit, I cringe when I have to shell out hundreds of dollars for super trendy shoes, perhaps Aldo is the answer? The nude looks great on Lucy but I think I’m going for the black version. I have never bought shoes there so I don’t know how the full sizes work since I’m a 35.5, do I go up to a 36 or down to a 35? Anyone an expert at Aldo shoes??? Aldo “Kerbow” shoes here.

Definitely go up a size to 36, Tina. I’m a 5.5 too and I’ve tried squishing my feet into 35 in Aldos and it never works out. That’s why I never buy pumps there, cuz my heels always slip out of the 36′s. But sandals and open toe shoes usually will work fine in a 36.

They have half sizes! I own 8 pairs of their shoes and one bag and one pair has been w/ me for at least four years and feels as good as new. They have quality materials, great fit and beatiful design at great prices, I live in a 3rd world country and even when I can I’d rather buy Aldo than overspend on designer for trends that will die soon I leav the $$ money for timeless clasics
Hi Tina,
We don’t actually carry half sizes so we’d definitely recommend taking the 36. Either way, you can always exchange them at your nearest ALDO store (even if you buy them online).
You can find your nearest ALDO store here: http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/stores.
Let us know how you go!
I’m going for the 35, my feet are very narrow! In full size shoes (like some Marni shoes) I go down half rather than up.
but good to know about your easy return policy! Love this shoe, really fab! xo
I’ve been wearing aldo since i was like 13… it was the only brand that was affordable enough for me back then in Canada.
The style may be fabulous and trendy, but my feel hurt like hell in their shoes, even in the flats, and I have narrow feet. Their high heels look really nice, but they don’t really fit the shape of my soles either.
Of course Also’s heels are not intended for walking, but Louboutins and Ferragamos are so comfortable I can dance all night in them. (I know it’s not fair comparing these brands to aldo).
I guess all I’m trying to say is don’t expect to walk miles in Aldos. They are perfect for occassions where you can sit for the most of the evening though.
+1
I would rather pay a little more for some Stuart Weitzmans than settle for Aldo.
I got 2 pairs from Aldo just because the price was right but they end up falling apart. The quality is just not there, I believe most of their shoes are not even leather.
Really?
I can’t wait to test them out and see for myself…
Hey, I have this shoe in nude leather and a black suede but they are made by MiuMiu. I bet hers are also MiuMiu
I was shocked to see that Aldo copied this shoe So good! If you want the real thing, the UK netaporter website still has them in black. US site is all sold out.
the miumiu’s have an ankle strap!
I saw the Miu Miu at Barneys, these are definitely Aldo! Aldo confirmed that Lucy was wearing their shoes
The MiuMIu does not have a strap and if you are a 6.5 or 8 Bluefly has the black suede shoe 20% off.
I just said that my MiuMIu’s did not have a strap but they do have a wide piece that wraps above the ankle. I feel better now that they are not Identical
after paying the price of a MiuMIu!
Yes, I see the difference now that gopher pointed out that MiuMiu’s have a wide strap above the ankle. Now I feel better :b
Let us know how it goes Tina!
Hi! I wanted to know how the size 35 fitted you ? I’m from Ecuador and my husband bougth this for in a size 37 and I usually wear a size 6M or 6.5M and my foot is skinny rather narrow… And I wanted to make sure if 37 was the right size, because he is still in USA so he can exchange them for a size 36…
Please help me!!!!
just to clear things up, aldo doesnt make half sizes, and almost all our pumps are real leather, which means they will give a little if they are too tight. You can tell our shoes are real leather because if you look at the bottom of the shoe, there is a sticker which tells you the materials the shoe is made out of, and there is a leather symbol.
You can ask your sales person about streching them if they are too tight. also, for the shoes that are a tad bit too loose we recommend wearing the insoles, not only are they comfy but it makes your heels fit better.
It is true, Lucy Liu did wear an Aldo shoe, and we are not taking credit for something that isnt ours.
As for shoes falling apart, you must not be aware of our free repair policy. if something goes wrong we will get it repaired, free of cost to you or in some cases exchange it for a brand new one
