Spring 2010 Trend: Impressionist Dots

I hate looking trendy but like being on trend (I'm sorry, is that an oxymoron?)! Take the biggest trends for spring 2010: polka dots, tie dye and painting inspired prints-- it sounds crazy to put it all together but check out this lovely top from Ann Taylor (my friends are totally obsessed lately, ever since former Banana Republic creative director Lisa Axelson jumped ship here!). It combines the best of the spring trends without looking overdone and is the perfect little piece to update your wardrobe with. Loving the pleated and draped neckline-- softens the silhouette and so flattering on everyone. It's also very versatile; wear it with a slim skirt for work or black skinny jeans at night-- glam it up with a stack of chunky bracelets and you're ready to rock the best trends of the season without trying too hard!
$89 at Ann Taylor here.

  • Finally, something that I can afford (not to mention they make it in my size)! I love reading about the rest of the stuff on the site, but this is a welcome change!

    • Hi Andrea,
      thanks for the feedback!
I am going to focus less on reporting and more on what I wear day to day. Which is mixing up frugal finds from Ann Taylor, F21, Target with my Alexander McQueen jackets and RM dresses :)

  • I would love reading about what frugal finds you find snob worthy.
