Holy Toledo! Riccardo Tisci continues to push the envelope with his Givenchy Fall 2010 campaign, this time tapping his longtime personal assistant, and former fit model, Lea T. to star alongside a slew of nine models in the ads. The catch: Lea used to known as Leo–when he was a she! Yes, Tisci is using a transsexual among the cast for the house’s fall/winter ad campaign, shot by Mert & Marcus. Is it really such a shocker though? Tisci’s also blended the gender roles with his dynamic collections; it was only a matter of time before his marketing tools would as well. Starring alongside Lea are longtime muse Mariacarla Boscono, as well as Malgosia Bela and Joan Smalls. Lea, however, is moving on from fashion: she’s moving to Milan to pursue veterinary medicine.

What was the purpose of announcing this to the world because if she’s thin, lovely and photographs well, what does it matter what she was born. What happened to the good old days when the trans girls were models and no one was none the wiser?
