The lovely DKNY team sent me a box of samples to Asia for my photo shoot with China Bazaar (more on that later!). I ended up wearing a custom Donna Karan beaded dress, so I returned the other samples but fell in love with this stretch-silk jumpsuit and asked if I could wear it for another event. The DKNY PR girl’s response? “Keep it!” (Music to my ears, but I would have bought it anyhow. At $345, it’s a major good deal.)

As a result, I am living in this thing! It’s been 110º here in Dallas daily, and nothing is as comfortable as a loose and versatile jumpsuit. Good thing there are countless ways to wear it. Show off your waist with a vintage belt one day, then shed the accessory and don a lightweight (white!) blazer for evening. Rolling up the pants, throwing on a big Hermès belt and huge earrings equals a favorite look. The possibilities are endless! And that’s not only for August. This jumpsuit will take me into the fall/winter season. I’ll just layer a bodysuit underneath (from Donna, natch) or wear under my fur with new leopard-print Alaïa booties (http://www.shoesnob.com/2011/08/alaia-lace-up-calf-hair-platform-boots-stomping-ground.html).
