Some days call for a real pick-me-up. Not a double cappuccino or even gratuitously bright red lipstick. No, some downer days might find no better antidote than a crown of blossoms for your head, forcing you to channel your inner woodland nymph! Or a headwrap that’s tied and fluffed to fantastic proportions. Nobody knows this better than Cult Gaia, a brand that’s all about romantic nostalgia. Roses in shades of electric blue and peach (they are false but read real) and turban-headbands in kooky fruit prints and loud colors add up to all-out whimsy.
While their quirky-cool knotted headwraps are far more wearable, especially for a day at the beach when you can’t be bothered to tame your mane – as well as thoroughly on-trend (just look at Marc Jacobs’ Spring runway) – I’m finding the innocent allure of a crown of roses impossible to turn down. Even if I never wear it past my front yard! Stash one in your wardrobe and save it for a bluesy day.
