I just love it when a girl does a red carpet right. Although she’s only 23, Emma Stone already seems like an old pro at executing the right look for an occasion. At the premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man in California on June 27th, the latest Mary Jane outdid herself.
Her entrancing Chanel frock, out of their Resort 2013 collection, made for an inspired mix of old-world, Baroque-meets-Rococo elegance and fresh verve. With ornate velvet embellishments and a burst of tulle peeking out, she channeled a modern Marie Antoinette – without taking it over the top. The short length and expertly cut neckline kept the look youthful, and Emma wisely kept her hair upswept. A pair of Christian Louboutin’s Just Picks spiked-toed pumps brought the needed dose of edge.
