I walked into Stella McCartney for a bra (the one that’s in all the mags: the supposedly perfect-fitting and -forming push-up, sans underwire). And I walked out with a new Fall wardrobe full of jumpsuits, lace, and peplums (and no bra; apparently it’s still a press piece only and hasn’t been delivered to any stores yet). Don’t be surprised if you see me flouncing about at events all season long.
But for daily life, I prefer more slouch than flounce. I’ll be wearing Stella’s casually chic wool-knit jumpsuits ($1,245 each) in hot magenta and black
. They are nonchalant and comfy yet so very flattering; the track band around the ankles ensure your legs look lean and slim. Yes, this is a pricey onesie, but considering I’ll be wearing it daily come fall (at least 100 days), the cost per wear will be less than $13 a day! If you can’t commit to the entire jumpsuit, ease into a sporty look with her track pants, ($595 each), equally genius in black
and royal blue
. You’re sure to be addicted the minute you throw them on.
