Marc Jacobs’ Fall ’12 show was a tour de force of floppy, Dr. Seuss top hats, kooky rhinestone pilgrim shoes, high-impact volume, and wack-tastic furry coats. So, now that it’s off the runway and bursting into real life, is the zaniness just as contagious?

I must admit: I’m torn! This hot-pink sweater is all-out ridiculous (not like Marc doesn’t already know that). Muppet-esque faux fur is alternated with flashes of sequins, and the nuttiness is finished off with his trademark knobby, round buttons. This cardigan isn’t for every snob, to say the least. But it is making me smile, in spite of myself. I may not be the girl for the job, but I challenge a gutsy couture snob to take on Marc’s sweater in true kooky, quirky fashion. Do you have the verve (and the wink) to pull this off? Do you even want to?! On Net-a-Porter for $3,200.
