With all the eye candy that goes on out on the streets, the arena outside the tents often feels like the real fashion show. Even though I’ve been swept away with the spectacular Spring 2013 shows, the ladies of New York and London, from models to bloggers to editors and beyond, offer up real-life inspiration. Here, my favorite snaps from the first two Fashion Weeks:
Fashion consultant and former editor Miraslava Duma always turns out directional outfits that are a blend of cute, outrageous, and chic. This cameo-accented ensemble is no exception; I am all about coordinating shoes and bags at the moment! Man Repeller Leandra Medine looked free and easy with her Christopher Kane jeans and Kotur clutch, and I was thrilled to see she paired them with the Christian Louboutin pumps I cajoled her into buying last time we went shopping!
Coordinated chevron stripes on stripes on stripes? I’m obsessed! Spring ’12 Proenza Schouler has never looked better, as far as I’m concerned. Who knew matchy-matching could be so relaxed and easy? It might not be relaxed or easy, but I’m also loving this delightful retro-throwback combination of a floral romper, supreme cat-eye sunglasses, and major Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toe platforms.
