Marcus Wainwright and David Neville have a fascination with early aviation and the flight suits that came out of the period. The result for Fall ’13: a collection of clutches, aptly named the “Pilot Clutch.”
I chose perforated leather in white. As unfussy as clutches get, it has just enough grit – which is what the brand is known for – along with enough to polish to go around. The same goes for the latest looks. I’ve been a Rag & Bone fan for awhile now (as proven by the fedora I wear everywhere, the show included), but I’ll admit, I did not expect the sophistication and polish I saw on the runway.
The undeniably cool Rag & Bone girl is in full effect, but this time, she is coordinated and pulled together. Short skirts and long jackets in autumnal wools and rich hues are what fall is all about, and loads of leather quilting, particularly in those boxy trousers, kept the substance level nice and high. Personal favorites: the menswear-influenced jumpers (the Brit term for sweaters that Victoria Beckham taught me; I love saying it!) I can’t wait to cozy up to and flared miniskirts, a.k.a. my Rag & Bone uniform – which, thanks to a rock-solid collection, I can’t wait to update come September.
