Saving money does not mean saving on style, and designer brands. Auction sites like ideeli is the Frugal Snob's best friend. I have been buying up a storm and spending very very little. And for shoes, you really cannot compromise on the shoes, they have to be nice. But instead of buying $1000 shoes, I am opting to spend that at ideeli for an entire summer wardrobe, including a formal gown for a jewelry launch party I am attending. And shoes like these Georgina Goodman sandals which start at $225, they're disco sexy and uber comfortable. They kind of remind me of Pierre Hardy! The sale for these start today and you can join for free through Couture Snob's special link. Enter your email address and you will get alerts on when the sales starts. Shop smart and still look fabulous!

These are the craziest shoes I've ever seen. It is like the Phantom of the Opera half masked shoe for the slightly deranged and seriously obsessed. I love Zanotti, it was my shoe of choice for my wedding so I have a special place in my heart for it, but now seeing this, I am feeling like I might not be as sane as I thought. Well, of course designers go through phases and this is not indicative of the entire collection. Let's just hope. I can see how this might be more comfortable than strappy sandals especially with the wedge but even to be edgy this is just too weird. And really ugly. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $595.
Not that you need an excuse to buy Louboutin shoes but how can you refuse a great cause? The Shoe Goddess turned us on to these fab pink platform shoes from Christian Louboutin made for Foot Candy. All proceeds will go to to the GTAEF charity (Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation), which help rescue elephants from the streets of Thailand! You can read more about the rescued elephants at www.elerescue.org.
I am dying to click on size 35.5 while it's still available but really can't justify buying a thousand dollar pair of pink fabric shoes to save elephants in Asia when our own economy is suffering so badly. Child abuse in the US is at an all time high-- our kids need our help (I'm actually looking for items for silent auction for the Children Advocacy Gala-- if you are a designer or in PR and can help, email me!! But hey, if you were planning to pick up a new pair of Loubies anyway, why not save an elephant or two while you're at it. $895 at Footcandy.

In love with Givenchy shoes but not the price? Get a pair now on sale at Zappos.com (free shipping, easy returns with label-- you can not go wrong at Zappos!) There are many styles on sale but I'm loving the taupe or black satin platforms. They have a 40's retro vibe with the ultra chunky heel and platform. Satin shoes are not only for evenings, they are great during the day with a pair of skinny jeans or leggings!

And look at these Givenchy Grey Nappa platforms! OMG, so fab! On sale for $306!

These are the perfect sandals for the summer! They are really comfortable, well, on the feet, my back still hurts in them but that's really my problem and not the shoe's. There is that slight platform so the angle on the foot is very mild. I hate to say this because it sound ridiculous but it is a great price for Louboutin, $475. I know, when did we get programmed into thinking 500 bucks is good for a pair of shoes? Well, at least it isn't $1000. These come in nude, black patent and this metallic skin which I think it the most versatile, it can go with colors, black and white. Think about it, you can wear it with short tailored shorts, very Jennifer Aniston, or you can throw any dress on top of this for a dressy but casual chic that we wait all year for the summer for. The rope trim gives it that espadrille look but it really isn't, the wedge is leather so is more refined. Christian Louboutin Bilbao Wedges at Saks Fifth Avenue for $475.
If you weren't adventurous enough to jump on the Roger Vivier gladiator cut out boots, how about snagging a pair of these cut out sandals? You get the look of the chic floral cutouts and t-strap without looking like an extra on the Gladiator movie. My only issue is the low heel, I wish it was just a couple of inches higher, how hot would they be?!?! Forbes.com recently documented my insane love of high heels-- read it here. What do you think? Snob or slob? Comes in multiple colors for summer-- patent t-strap sandals $675. Clutch bag $845. email our boy Eddie Curtis if you're interested.
Jump for to die white!
If I could only say one thing about Alexander McQueen, it would be that THIS is HIS season!! Trust me ;) ...If you could wear one designer head to toe, pick McQueen. While we were stuck in BoHo land for a few months, we have now moved into a darker, more confident S&M inspired trend zone. I am all about this switch! It's subtle enough that your black gladiator shoes will still pass muster, yet bold enough to incorporate those signature pieces you know you have been itching to wear! While we have been drooling over Mr. McQueens handbags over on Bag Snob, its time to show some shoe! These three shoes are so RAD (yes, I said "rad") I can't stop looking at them!! Truly, these shoes capture perfectly the new direction fashion has taken in the past few months...and perhaps even inspired it?
...I selected these three shoes from McQueens new collection because there is something for everyone! I think that these three pairs of shoes alone could carry me through the next few months, serving every need! ...

Metallic leather shoe boots $1,115- For your inner rockstar!! I could see myself sporting these shoes to every club in Hollywood, straight to the front of the VIP ;) (Jump for more!)
I love boots, I love sandals, but most of all, I love platform shoes. Who knew there'd be a day when one wouldn't have to choose between the three!?!?Roger Vivier high heel platform sandal boots are sexy fetish without being trashy. These are the most seductive shoes I've ever laid eyes on! Bruno Frisoni's use of the iconic pilgrim buckle is subtle and chic-- worthy of a modern day Belle de Jour.
Of course one would need very long and very slim legs to get away with these; you don't want any bulges of fat through the beautifully cut out flowers. They are the ultimate fantasy shoes and are quite expensive but you can see the exquisite handiwork in the details.
Available in black patent for $1725 at Bergdorf Goodman. Call or email Eddie Curtis in the shoe salon for more info! 212-872-8940

I lived in my Christian Louboutin City girl sandals last summer and plan to bring them out again when the sun shines again. They are the perfect luggage brown color that goes with everything and are so comfortable! I made 3 different girlfriends buy them, that's how much I love them. So imagine how annoyed I was to see shameless knock offs from DSW called Ciao Bella for $69.95. I know not everyone can afford Louboutin shoes but there are plenty of cute shoes at low prices, why resort to knock offs? What do you think of the Ciao Bella from DSW? Snob or Slob?
