You must get to a Barneys asap-- almost the entire shoe department is 40% off! I'm talking YSL (except the tribute), Pierre Hardy, Jil Sanders, and LOUBOUTINS! Look at these shoes, it's insane! I was in there this weekend and snatched up a pair of gray/platinum platforms that I've been looking at all season-- so glad I waited! I am a bit worried and think retailers and designers have to rethink their brands and strategies.... They can't continue the insane sales, no one will pay full retail anymore if they do. Furthermore, It de-values the products and alienates core clients. I'm upset because the Marni and Ysl shoes I bought full price are now on sale and I haven't even worn them. This makes me tell myself to wait for sale next season... And hence the snowball effect. We are living in precarious times, my friends. And don't think the bargains now aren't going to cost you later, I'm expecting crazy inflation in our very near future. Just curious, how do you shop now?
