It's quite sad that no one wants to pay full retail anymore-- especially for trendy stuff but until the market starts rebounding, those with cash are going to make out like bandits! The latest sale to hit the net is Couture Candy with 50% off selected Ingwa Melero Spring/Summer goodies. I've sworn off buying contemporary/trendy clothes at full price as it all ads up but for 50% off more than a few pieces are worth consideration! Ingwa Melero tops are great to run around in with jeans/skinny capri pants in the summer. It's a great alternative to a plain ol' t shirt. Its sexy little dresses will also be a hit beachside-- go here to check out all the sale selections.

I'm loving these two frugal finds, but am torn about whether or not to get them. First there's the Target Bandleader Vest ($34.99), which has been getting a done of hype lately and then there's the Target Mesh Zodiac Tee ($19.99). Both are wholly wearable, fun, casual finds. The only pitfall -- while I'm all about fast fashion, I'm completely averse to designer knock-offs. The Bandleader Vest is clearly inspired by this Balmain number and the Mesh Zodiac Tee keeps making me think of this Alexander Wang sweater. Obviously both are not as fabulous as their originals -- not even close -- but for the price would you consider getting them over the originals (especially the Balmain jacket which is selling for over $11,000!)?
I'm going home to LA next week- yay!!! I will visit my little brother and his new baby girl, my niece. Finally- a girl I can spoil! Oh, and I'll be working, too. I have a photo shoot and a party to attend (yup we call parties "work"!). I am a lot more casual (and comfortable) when I'm back in LA. I am in jeans and little tops with a cardigan or shrunken blazer-- it's sorta the uniform with my friends and I. This photo of Katherine Heigl looking breezy and beautiful actually reminds me of all of my LA girlfriends (all of whom I can't wait to see!). Love the look of a soft blouse with a cardigan and faded jeans-- so effortless and so chic! Fifteen Twenty has the best floaty tops-- pair with jeans, leggings, skinny pants or short shorts, you'll look like a California girl, too! At Jane's Closet (the pink one is on sale and so mine!) Also at Shop Robertson!
I have this cardigan from Splendid in 2 colors, it's so easy to throw on! Splendid Very Light Jersey Draped Cardigan here
I am what you'd call an Anglophile. I love all things English and can not explain my obsession (if I could live in London, I'd be so there right now!). I also adore the proper British accent and impeccable manners (I really believe all people in the service industry should spend a few months in London to learn how to treat customers!). Seriously though, I think my Anglo obsession began with MTV in 1981 with my discovery of Adam Ant, Duran Duran and continued through my teens and 20's (Ab Fab anyone?). As an adult, I'm continually inspired by the innate chicness of the Brits-- right now, it's Kate Moss, Alexander McQueen, and the amazing Vivienne Westwood. I am currently having a major love affair with Westwood's Anglomania line (affordable and so stylish!). I own all three items above (my drape dress is hot pink!) and feel really sexy every time I wear them even though none are skin tight or cleavage revealing. It's the way the fabric wraps around the body-- draped to emphasize the bust, tucked to nip in the waist and curved right above the bum so that the rear looks perky and small. Trust me, no man will be able to resist you in these dresses-- they leave everything to the imagination! The line starts at $450 and runs up to $1200. Check it out and let me know what you think!

It's not every girl who can strike the balance of youth and style but Cameron Diaz hits it perfectly at the Kids' Choice awards this weekend! She shows us how a 36 year old can be fun and flirty without looking ridiculous (you know who you are). Her pleated navy and red polka dotted tank top from Michael Kors with cinched white belt is adorable and perfect for the occasion. I am loving the skinny 7 Skinny Jeans she threw on with it (she knows how to show off those mile long legs!) and of course the bright red clutch pulls it all together (it's always the bag that does it). And those shoes, the candy striped platform shoes are sick! I must have those shoes! What do you think?
I've noticed Cameron has been wearing MK all year long. I don't really blame her, it's all about Michael Kors for me this season, too. The dresses Michael picked out for me when we filmed are finally here and I'll be wearing them everywhere! The red and white checked version even comes with a red patent belt.

This is one of the most beautiful outfits I have ever laid eyes on. Say what you will about Tomas Maier but the man knows how to wrap a piece of fabric on the body. Bottega Veneta has long been known for subtle elegance. From its iconic woven bags to draped dresses-- it's not a brand the Britneys and the Pam Andersons seek; it's more for the Reeses and Jen Anistons. The neckline of the top makes the entire outfit. Without it you just have a top with a skirt (albeit an interesting skirt with side pleats that will hide a generous belly. I am really in love with this top-- it's almost sheer perfection. The open collar dips just so in to the decollatage and the small cap sleeves will hide any flaws on the upper back arms. Even if you are not a lady who lunches, you need this for champagne brunches! I'd rock this with a pair of leggings for casual dates or wide legged pants if you're not into the skirt length. Bottega Veneta Shantung silk top at Net a Porter. Bottega skirt also at Net a Porter.
I've been slowly acquiring pieces from The Row each season; they transition effortlessly through the next seasons so you'll actually keep and wear them over and over! MK and Ashley's line contains basics that we all need and love pulling on without thought. How easy is it to get dressed when you've got the perfect V neck shirt ($550) to throw on with a pair of slim pants ($590) and a tiny little leather jacket ($2,750)!?!? I want to live in this uniform this spring! I'll rock it with flats for day (yes, I'm slowly giving in to the flats, ballet or gladiator) and towering heels for night. This is a simple look you can take anywhere. At Barneys New York stores and online here.

I love nautical-inspired looks! Shopbop has a whole section devoted to the current trend with some wonderful finds. The only problem as we all know is that nautical horizontal stripes can sometimes visually add a few pounds. I've found that with wider stripes as well as with stripes that are relatively far apart, this problem is significantly minimized. Opting for outwear (like a blazer), is a great way to avoid the problem as well (and of course you can always go for nautical stripped accessories like hats, shawls, or scarves!). All that said if you're looking to show-off your figure and get in the mood for summer why not try your hand at some thin blue and white horizontal stripped shirts a la Jessica Biel -- how effortlessly chic does she look? See some nautical stripe looks after the jump!
All I need for a summer wardrobe are a couple of good kaftans and I am set for vacations as well as everyday wear. This kaftan from Anya Hindmarch will get you through the entire season looking effortless and unimaginably chic for the tiny bit of exertion needed. Put this over jeans or leggings (with a tank top inside, of course) and you can join friends for lunch or shopping jaunts. How incredibly stylish will you be for the beach or pool with all the ruffles and bell sleeves? But its not over the top because it is still after all a kaftan =) This fits small across the chest so you will need to size up if you are luckily endowed. At Anya Hindmarch for $230.
